I have a lot of recipes that Mom, Krista, Kim and I put together a few years ago. I will be posting those as we go along here so if you see your recipe posted by me, that's why! I know there are lots of new recipes the three of you have to add since then. AND - we are excited to get some of Melissa and Woan's favorites too!
All adult family members will be getting permission to post recipes as contributors on this site. When you post the recipe, please note somewhere on there your name or what family member you got the recipe from. You will be able to see how I post the initial ones for an idea. I just want people to be named or tagged in the post so that if we want to ask questions about making the recipe or for future reference we know where it came from.
Don't forget to make things interesting! Well, as interesting as posting recipes can be. Try to snap a photo (even if it's with your phone) when you make a new recipe and post it. Colorful photos really make a recipe look more appealing! A little blurb about where you got the recipe or for what occasion you like to make it or what you like the make it with is always great too. If a recipe you post is sentimental or traditional at some holiday or event - tell us!! Also, be sure to tag your postings so that as we accumulate a lot of recipes it will be easy to search for past recipes. For example, in a parmesan dijon chicken recipe, your tags might include these words: chicken, main dish, dinner, dijon, parmesan, bread crumbs.
This site is for more than just recipes too. Feel free to share your best tips about cooking, cleaning, etc. You can also just share favorite memories of meals or things you ate and did together as a family. Most importantly we want this to be a fun place for us to share delicious dishes and keep in touch!
